Wedding & Event Coordinator Intern
Are you interested in the wedding and event planning business? Do you consider yourself to be very organized? Do you enjoy working with the public? Do you have an eye for style and design? If you answered yes to these questions then we invite you to apply for our internship program with Event Planners of Houston.
Responsibilities:
The intern(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Assisting the coordinator(s) through all phases of an event
Creating room diagrams
Assembling binders for new clients
Assist with necessary errands in preparation for an event
Assist and attend upcoming event industry shows (locally only)
Other projects as directed by the coordinator
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple task and meet deadlines
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast paced environment
Ability to handle confidential information
Attention to detail
Maintain professionalism
Be willing to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. (Including Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
College Student
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Information:
All intern positions are unpaid. We require all interns to maintain a professional attitude at all times. No personal calls or texting while working an event. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. This is to include working
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as needed. If you are not able to meet these qualifications please do not apply.
