PR & Social Media Intern
Event Planners of Houston is seeking a part-time PR and Social Media intern. Do you enjoy writing and being creative? We are looking for a social media intern to assist with the preparation and implementation across all social media channels.
Responsibilities:
The intern(s) will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Creating social media post for Event Planners of Houston content for Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram
Creating engaging content for Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Create blog content
Assist with scheduling and creating newsletters and email blasts
Other projects as directed by management
Attend social functions (for photo and reporting purposes)
Minimum Qualifications:
Proven excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple task and meet deadlines
Understanding of social media platforms
Familiarity with trending wedding fashion and decor, high end luxury brands etc (preferred)
Attention to detail
Self-motivated
Be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours per week. (Including evenings, Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
College Student or graduate
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Additional Information:
All intern positions are unpaid. We require all interns to maintain a professional attitude at all times. No personal calls or texting while working an event. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 15 hours per week. This is to include working
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as needed. If you are not able to meet these qualifications please do not apply.
